FORMER World and European track cyclist Andy Tennant and Olympic Champion Katie Archibald kicked off a mass cycling event in Glasgow city centre yesterday.
HSBC Let's Ride Glasgow forced the closure of city centre streets to allow hundreds of bike enthusiasts to pass through the area without the usual traffic.
Once the ride through Glasgow city centre was complete, cyclists of all ages descended on the Glasgow Green for a cycling festival.
The cycling festival event included everything from music, street food and live stunt shows to Q&As with Andy Tennant and Katie Archibald.
The event was geared for anyone of any age who loves cycling and those taking part took to the social media Twitter to praise the organisers afterwards.
Cameron Reid said: "Had a brilliant cycle around the close streets of Glasgow as part of the HSBC Let's Ride Glasgow event.
"Great to see so many people from professional cyclists to people who just want to get around on a bike out on the closed streets."
Lynn Semple, who took part with family, added: "Really enjoyed our spin around Glasgow."
While cyclist Stevie Elliot joked: "I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride it where I liked."
