PUB chain JD Wetherspoon has lodged a planning application for a history South Side building.
The national pub and hotel giant wants listed building consent for the A-listed former Tusk and Waverley Tearooms.
Formerly owned by G1 Group, the two Shawlands favourites closed in 2017 with G1 owner Stefan King saying Glasgow City Council's strict licensing laws were to blame for their demise.
The Moss Side Road building has sat empty since with residents complaining that G1 had five local venues lying empty.
These included Ketchup, The Cell and The Social.
An application for planning consent was lodged on August 1 and will be open for public comment until Friday, August 23.
A decision from councillors is expected by Friday, September 26.
