CELTIC legend Chris Sutton has warned internet trolls he is calling in the cops after his young daughter was left upset over abuse sent to him.

The former Parkhead ace has said he will go to police over the abuse. He explained his seven-year-old took his phone to a sleepover and was subject to abuse aimed at her dad.

In a tweet, the TV pundit said: "To all the people sending abusive messages. My daughter who is seven had my phone at a sleepover last night.

"She has my phone regularly and was called all night. She is very upset.

"I will be sending photos of the culprits out and passing your details onto the police."

Father-of-five Sutton, 46, played for Celtic from 2000 to 2006. Since leaving the club, he has went on to become a successful TV pundit for BT sport.
