The heartbroken mother of a missing teenager has pleaded for information as the search for her son enters its 13th day.

Rhys Bonner went missing from Glasgow on the afternoon of Wednesday July 24, and mum Stephanie is desperate for him to come home.

The 19-year-old left his home in Garlieston Road, Barlarnark, informing his family he was going to meet a friend.

He failed to return home, and his family reported him missing on Friday July 26.

Stephanie has been posting almost daily to Facebook in just one of her many efforts to trace her boy.

She wrote: "My heart is broken, the whole family are heartbroken. We need Rhys home safe.

"I've not been able to be on this as much to share my Rhys pic as my four kids are very very upset and they're missing their brother like mad and just wanting their brother home."

Police have now issued a re-appeal to find the missing lad, and say they have been carrying out extensive enquiries into his disappearance.

The last confirmed sighting of Rhys was around 7.55pm on Wednesday evening, at shops in Connisborough Road, Easterhouse.

He was then seen walking with a woman along the road before turning into Gardyne Street.

Officers are continuing to review CCTV images and speak to family and friends for any additional information which could lead them to locate Rhys.

Inspector Brian Fraser said: “Rhys maintains regular contact with his family and the fact that no-one has seen or heard from him is very unusual and his family is becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

"We are continuing to conduct enquiries including reviewing CCTV footage, searching the local area and speaking to Rhys’ family and friends to gather additional information which could assist us in locating him.

"I would appeal to anyone who may have seen Rhys or have any information as to his whereabouts to please contact us.

"His family want him home and we just want to know he is safe and well.”

Anyone with information is asked to call officers at Shettleston Police Office via 101, quoting incident number 2021 of July 26 2019.
