Services coming in and out of Glasgow Queen Street are suffering major disruption this evening due to flooding.

Trains cannot service the stretch of track between Craigendoran and Cardross due to heavy rainfall.

This means services between Glasgow and Helensburgh Central, and services between Edinburgh and Helensburgh Central, are being subject to delays or cancellations.

The disruption is expected to last until around 9pm.

Edinburgh to Helensburgh Central services are being terminated at Glasgow Queen Street low level, and Helensburgh Central to Edinburgh services will start at Hyndland.

ScotRail have secured replacement transport, and two buses will transport customers from Dumbarton Central to Helensburgh Central, stopping at all stations in between.

They have advised the team from Network Rail are arriving on-site to walk to the flooded area and begin their inspection of the track.

ScotRail are advising any customers delayed by more than 30 minutes to keep hold of train tickets to claim some or all money back.
