A CITY pub has created a new Spritz bar that offers six flavours of the popular drink.

Epicures on Hyndland Road will be giving city revellers a chance to try Aperol and Grapefruit, St Germain Elderflower, Ginger and Lime, Pomegranate and Orange Blossom, Sloe Gin, and Cassis and Berry.

The bar describes their offering as a refreshing twist on classic Spritz. All drinks are served with a side of vegetable crisps for £8.

The West End spot also has Spritzing Hour every Sunday to Thursday from 4 pm to 6 pm. You can enjoy a complimentary bowl of giant olives with every Spritz bought.

An Aperol Spritz is an aperitif cocktail consisting of prosecco, Aperol and soda water.

It was ranked ninth on the list of the world's bestselling cocktails and has become a popular choice with the city's nightlife.

The bar is owned by city entrepreneur Oli Norman. He is also the owner of Sloans, Brel, Maggie May’s and The Griffin.

We reported earlier this year that Oli, 40, who is founder of deals site itison, had taken sole ownership of Epicures of Hyndland, nearby Nick’s Italian Kitchen and Bar and the newly-launched Jacques in Finnieston, which recently underwent a major refurbishment as part of a £15 million deal.
