SINGER Sam Smith has been holidaying in Scotland - and admitted it is a part of the world he has never seen despite his successful global touring career.
The 27-year-old, who teamed up with Scots DJ Calvin Harris for hit single Promises, has shared several images of his Scottish getaway on Instagram.
Looking relaxed, the star revealed he has been exploring Applecross in the Highlands - and he even had a wee swim in the loch.
He said: "Recharging like never before these past few days. Exploring a part of the world I’ve never seen. Honestly nothing like it. Super grateful for this time."

The Stay With Me singer first posted a picture of himself paddling in the water with his toes painted bright red, captioning it: "Holiday only begins when your feet are in the sea."
In another topless snap on the beach, he then made reference to one of Scotland's biggest bands by captioning the picture, 'Wet Wet Wet'.
The London-born popstar has played several sell-out shows in Glasgow in venues such as the Hydro.
