COPS have launched a murder investigation in Motherwell following the death of a 30-year-old man in a flat in a tower block.
The force said they were called to Doonside Tower in the early hours of this morning to a report of a man with serious injuries.
The man died at the scene and now police are treating his death as murder.
The force added that they are following a positive line of enquiry.

A force spokeswoman said: "At around 4.10am on Tuesday, August 13, police received a report of a man having suffered serious injuries within a flat in Doonside Tower, Motherwell.
"The 30-year-old man died at the scene. Officers are currently treating his death as murder and are following a positive line of enquiry.
"Anyone with any information should contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 0408 of Tuesday, August 13 2019.”
