Celtic fans have been urged to leave for Parkhead early this evening as London Road remains closed due to a burst water main.

Scottish Water confirmed the news on social media earlier this afternoon.

Posting from their Twitter account, the water company confirmed that London Road, Fielden Street and Dunn Street will all be sealed off to the public for a spell this evening.

The tweet read: "Remember to leave extra time ahead of the @CelticFC vs @CFR1907Cluj #UCL match in Glasgow tonight due to a road closure at junction of London Rd, Fielden St & Dunn St as a result of damage following a burst water main. 

"Apologies for any inconvenience."

It has been shared by Celtic on their social media channels to remind fans.

Hoops fans have been warned to seek alternative routes or use public transport in a bid to make the game on time.

Kick-off is at 7.45pm in Glasgow.
