TWO key routes through central Glasgow are facing major disruption this afternoon after two car crashes closed off parts of the roads.

Road traffic collisions on the M8 and Clydeside Expressway mean extremely slow traffic is affecting drivers on Friday afternoon.

Traffic Scotland are reporting one single car and one two-car crash in the Charing Cross area are ongoing.

The entry sliproad onto the Clydeside Expressway from the Kingston Bridge is currently slowing traffic significantly after the two-car incident.

Cars are still able to pass but are asked to show extreme caution in the area.

Elsewhere, a crahs on the M8 around junction 19 has closed two lanes of the motorway.

Travel bosses have warned motorists of the disruption, also close to the Kingston Bridge.
