Police and fire crews rushed to the scene of a motorway crash in Glasgow on Friday.
A collision involving a van closed off two lanes of the M8 westbound just before the Kingston Bridge on Friday afternoon.
Four people appear to have been injured as a result of the incident, with one woman rushed to hospital.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman told Glasgow Live: “We were alerted at 11.51am on Friday, August 16 to reports of a road traffic collision on Glasgow’s M8 motorway. Operations Control mobilised four fire engines to Junction 18, where crews were met by a collision involving four cars.

“Three male casualties had exited their vehicles prior to the arrival of firefighters.
"One female casualty was helped from her car by firefighters before being passed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service and transported to Glasgow’s Royal Infirmary.
“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area had been made safe."
Traffic moved slowly following the incident, which also involved other cars car. Bosses from Traffic Scotland advised that lanes two and three were shut.
This came after another one-car crash nearby on the Clydeside Expressway slip-road from the Kingston Bridge.

Following the crash at around midday, the route has now re-opened again.
