A BONCHESTER Bridge man who admitted a number of offences has been fined £150 at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
Glen Donnelly pleaded guilty to using someone else's debit card to gain goods to the value of £35.35 from Sainsbury's in Hawick on March 14.
Similar offences were committed at Morrisons in Hawick (£10), the co-op in Hawick (£8.70), Lawries Garage at St Boswells (£21.56) and Co-op in Jedburgh (£15.23).
The court was told the former plasterer and roofing business owner had hit financial difficulties and had succumbed to temptation by using the card.
He has also been told to pay compensation to the businesses.
