COMEDY legend Billy Connolly made an appearance at Sunday's Celtic game against Hearts.

Several fans took to social media to share their delight at the 76-year-old's attendance at the match which saw Celtic win 3-1.

The Glasgow-born star, who is in the running for our Evening Times Greatest Glaswegian gong, took time to pose with football fans ahead of the match at Parkhead.

The actor has been spotted out and about in his hometown in recent weeks. We reported earlier this month that he visited the popular Amber Regent Restaurant in the city centre.

The Big Yin, who has Parkinson's disease, will appear in Billy Connolly's Great American Trail on September 5 on ITV.
