A MAN throw a child's scooter at a woman's face while she was standing with a friend at a taxi rank.
Cops are hunting for the violent thug who assaulted the woman in Largs on Sunday at around 2am.
The force said the victim, 18, was with a friend at the taxi rank outside Largs Railway Station.
At this time she has had cause to speak with someone else at the rank who has then lifted a child’s scooter and thrown it, striking her to the face.
The victim attended the hospital for treatment before being released.

PC Euan Graham, of Largs Police Office, said: “This was a sickening assault and I am keen to trace the person responsible. The victim sustained painful injuries however it could have been much worse.”
“At the time, Largs Main Street, particularly around the licensed premises and taxi-ranks, would have been busy with people enjoying the night-time economy. Enquiries – including CCTV review – are ongoing to trace the person responsible who is believed to be in his 40s and was wearing a blue bomber-style jacket at the time.”
