A PLUSH city hotel favoured by celebrities who come to the city was evacuated after the fire alarm went off.
Firefighters were called to the Blythswood Square Hotel in the city centre on Monday night.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said smoke was coming from a sub-floor ventilator but there was no fire.
Crews left the area almost three hours later.

A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted at 11.40pm on Monday, August 26 to a fire alarm activation at Blythswood Square hotel in Glasgow.
"Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances to the hotel, which had been fully evacuated.
"Crews discovered smoke coming from a sub-floor ventilator, however no fire was established.
"There were no casualties, and crews left the scene at 2.33am on Tuesday, August 27 after ensuring the area was safe."
