X Factor star Nicholas McDonald is celebrating after announcing his engagement last night.
The Airdrie-born singer popped the question to his American girlfriend, Brandi Sommer, while visiting Trump Turnberry in Ayrshire.
He took to Instagram to share the news, with an image of the shiny ring on Brandi's finger.
The 22-year-old, who finished second on the tenth series of the show in 2013, captioned it: "SHE SAID YESSSS".

The post attracted almost 11,000 likes, and fans could not wait to share his big news and offer their congratulations to the couple.
Luke Friend, from Nicky's series of X Factor, said: "GO ON SON."
Ryan Lawrie commented: "So happy for you".
And fellow singer Calum Scott also commented and said: "Congratulations bud! X"
