Vigorous searches were carried out by cops at this afternoon's Irish Republican marches in Glasgow in a bid to halt any potential violent scenes similar to last week's "war zone".
Last week's march, organised by the James Connolly Republican Flute Band, attracted hundreds to the parade through Govan but trouble flared.
One eyewitness described the hectic chaos as "like a war zone" as police and yobs clashed in the streets.
But today's parades are being carefully monitored by police.
Pictures show the force rummaging through attendees' belongings to make sure they have nothing untoward headed towards the marches.

Counter-protesters have now gathered.
A police helicopter is out in force.
We told earlier how scores of cop cars and vans lined the streets of Glasgow.
Officers in riot gear were also spotted in preparation for any potential violence.
One man, 33, has already been arrested after allegedly carrying an offensive weapon.
Missiles and flares were set off during last week's marches as tensions rose amid violent scenes.
