ScotRail is adding extra carriages to its trains going to and from Hampden Park this evening.

Scotland is set to face off Belgium in tonight's Euro 2020 qualifying fixture, and fans are expected to use public transport to attend.

And ScotRail have ensured a multitude of measures will be put in place to ensure people can travel to and from the game.

Extra carriages will be added to trains to and from Mount Florida, as well as on trains travelling to Perth and Dundee.

It comes after they were criticised on Friday after multiple services out of Glasgow Central were subjected to a series of cancellations and delays before Scotland's crucial Euro 2020 qualifier against Russia.

It led to many fans missing the start of the big match at Hampden.

But this time, before the match, the train operator will install queuing systems at Glasgow Central, and at Mount Florida afterwards.

An alcohol ban will also be enforced on trains between Glasgow and Mount Florida from 5pm.

Fans are being advised to allow extra time for travel before the 7.45pm kick-off, and to exit the stadium as quickly as possible after the match.

Phil Campbell, ScotRail's head of customer operations, said: "This is a crucial game for Scotland, and we're looking forward to helping supporters travel to the game to cheer on our national team.
