Police have launched an investigation after a car was torched in Lanarkshire.
Emergency services were called to Castledykes Gardens in Carstairs at around 3.40am on Saturday.
They were met with a burning blue VW Polo car, which had been left parked overnight.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Services crews extinguished the blaze, however the car was left extensively damaged as a result.

Police are now on the hunt for those responsible for the "deliberate act".
Detective Sergeant Jim Williamson said: "Early indications and collaboration with our colleagues in the fire and rescue Service point to this being a deliberate act of fire-raising on the car.
"I am appealing to anyone who may have been in area of Castledykes Gardens in the early hours of Saturday morning to get in touch with police".
Anyone with information should call police via 101 quoting reference number 0636 of September 7.
Alternatively they can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
