A man armed with a knife was last night arrested after being threatened with a police taser.
Officers were called out to North Street in Houston, Renfrewshire, at 10pm last night after locals spotted the man armed with a knife and length of wood.
They attended the scene and threatened the 44-year-old with a taser. He was then arrested.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "About 10pm last night we responded to a report of a 44-year-old male armed with a knife and length of wood in North Street, Houston.
"He was quickly located and after being 'red-dotted' with the taser he was safely arrested."
