AN ex-Ibrox favourite has hit out at a "disgusting" online troll who mocked terminally ill Fernando Ricksen on Facebook.

Former Rangers striker Nacho Novo blasted the Facebook user after a message posted online said he couldn't wait for Ricksen, who suffers from motor neurone disease, to die.

Screenshotting the post and sharing it on his own social media, Novo called for 'justice' after Ricksen was mocked over his debilitating condition.

The vile post referred to the former Netherlands defender as a 'goner', and included a number of horrible slurs about his disease.

The former Rangers star wrote: "I’m absolutely disgusted about that wee p**** can speak about someone who can’t defend himself.

"I hope the media put this comment in the papers because when a comment was said to Scott Brown about his sister it was front page news.

"So I hope Celtic do the same with that wee b****** and ban him for life.

"We don’t want any favours from anybody but we just want justice."

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
