A Wishaw man who vanished during the night has made contact with his family.

Samuel Durnion's family launched a frantic social media appeal on Monday after the 21-year-old went missing.

He is said to suffer 'severe' mental health issues, and his family and friends were desperate to get him home.

His mother awoke this morning at their home in Craigneuk in Wishaw to find her son had left during the night with no phone, money or jacket.

She said he left yesterday 'not in a good state of mind'.

Now, his family have confirmed the Wishaw lad has been found.
