Bath Street Residences has asked the local authority for permission to turn to the vacant offices into five flats. The property is on Bath Street above Yimas Greek restaurant close to Buchanan Street.

A planning statement said: "The applicant owns the upper floors and they have been vacant for a number of years.

"They are currently used as stores but we understand that the most recent use was as office space, Class 4.

"In addition to this, we understand that the building was originally built for use as a hotel.

"The proposals account for a change of use to mainstream residential flats with the formation of one flat on each of the first and second floors and three flats on the third floor."

A decision is expected on the plans by November 8 with the last date for comments on October 14.
