Aberdeen striker Sam Cosgrove laughs off speculation linking him with Serie A giants Lazio
Aberdeen striker Sam Cosgrove has opened up on rumours linking him with Serie A giants Lazio this summer.
The attacker has began the season in red hot form, scoring 13 goals in as many games - including a European hat-trick against Chikhura Sachkhere.
This led to Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi apparently taking notice as he looked for a target man to bolster his frontline.
But Cosgrove, 22, laughed off the speculation.
Asked about the Lazio link, Cosgrove said: "I heard about it but I think it was a load of rubbish to be honest.
"Two years ago you could have asked me [what I want from my career] and I’d have said playing for any professional club and I’d be happy."
