It's the most wonderful time of the year.
The festive period is fast approaching, and what more of a sign that Christmas is on its way than the George Square light switch on.
The ballot process for anyone looking to get tickets for the event - which takes place on November 17 - opened at 10am this morning.

Festive Glaswegians have until Sunday, October 13 to make their application.
Last year, 64,782 unique applications were lodged for a total of 309,422 tickets - with 93% of those tickets being allocated to households within Glasgow.
A maximum of six tickets can be requested per household.
