It might not be the first thing you expect as you tuck into seafood in Glasgow.

Lucky punters at the city's Crabshakk were left stunned after spotting a celebrity in their midst - David Beckham.

The footballing legend was snapped up by staff at the trendy Finnieston restaurant on Argyle Street.

They posted on Facebook: "We get lots of very special customers through our door, but some Wednesdays someone particularly lovely joins us for lunch.

"Thanks for your visit @davidbeckham and have a wonderful time in Scotland!"

It's thought the star was in Ashton Lane last night.

And it appears that the 44-year-old Manchester United hero had a great time, sharing his dishes to his 58.5 million followers on Instagram.

He said that the scallops were "cooked to perfection", the rollmops "reminded me of my nan" and to finish, a hefty portion of fish and chips with tartare sauce.
