A man and woman have been robbed as they sat in a car in Glasgow.

The 41-year-old man was assaulted during the raid, which took place on Couper Street at around 8.45pm on Monday.

Five men left their red Audi A5 or A6 car and approached the driver, and his 20-year-old female occupant, and took items from their Citroen DS3 vehicle.

The five men responsible then got back into the Audi and made off onto Kennedy Street.

The suspects were all wearing black clothing and had their faces covered.

One of the suspects wore his hair in dreadlocks and another was wearing a red baseball cap.

Detective Constable Rachel Hopkirk said: “Officers have been carrying out enquiries in the area and have studied a large amount of local CCTV footage to assist with this ongoing investigation."
