A child has been left "significantly" injured after being struck by a car in Renfrewshire.
Emergency services were called to Bridge Street in Linwood, near to Paisley, shortly after 7pm this evening.
The child has been taken to hospital and officers remain on the scene.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland confirmed the child's injuries are "significant" but could not reveal further details.

She added: "Officers were called at 7.05pm to Bridge Street in the Linwood area of Paisley for a road traffic collision involving a car and a child.
"The child has been taken to hospital.
"Officers are still on the scene and the road is currently blocked."
The incident comes just hours after a two-year-old was taken hospital after being hit by a lorry in Springburn.
