A Glasgow schoolgirl enjoyed one of her proudest moments yesterday as she took centre stage with Scotland at the Rugby World Cup in Japan.
Beth Strachan, 8, could barely contain her excitement after being chosen to be an official mascot thanks to partner Land Rover.
The P5 pupil from Langside Primary School was selected to lead Scotland out against Japan at International Stadium Yokohama on Sunday.

Gregor Townsend's side's world cup campaign was cut devastatingly short after a 28-21 defeat to the hosts.
After a difficult first half the Scots came close to turning things around but it was not meant to be.
Beth was surprised by Glasgow Warriors stars Rory Hughes and D’arcy Rae, who turned up to announce she had won the prize of leading out the national team.
Despite the result, she had the trip and experience of a lifetime.
Speaking before going, she said: “It’s amazing, I can’t believe I’m going to Japan.
“I’ll be a bit nervous, but I’ll be very excited to meet the players. I am a huge Glasgow Warriors and Scotland fan.”
