A pensioner has been left "shaken" after having his car stolen at knifepoint in Glasgow.

Police are appealing for information after the incident, which took place shortly after midnight on Saturday, October 12.

The 78-year-old was walking on Lochend Road in Easterhouse when he was approached by two men and threatened with a knife.

His car was stolen during the incident but was later recovered near Edinburgh Road.

The man was unhurt but shaken.

The suspects are both white men, described as being in their mid 20s and approximately 5ft 5ins tall.

One of the suspects had dark hair and was wearing a blue tracksuit.

The other was wearing a light grey hooded top, black body warmer and grey jogging bottoms.

Detective Constable Siobhan McKenna of Govan's Community Investigation Unit said: “Our enquiries are continuing to trace the men responsible for this robbery and we're asking for the public's help as part of our efforts."

Anyone with information is urged to contact police via 101, quoting reference number 0070 of October 12.
