POLICE have launched a probe after a brawl broke out in the audience at the final Still Game Live show.

Officers were called to the SSE Hydro in Glasgow after reports of a fighting between audience members near the front of the stage.

No arrests have been made and Police Scotland said enquiries were ongoing into an alleged assault on Sunday night.

In a separate incident, a 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with drug offences at the show starring Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill as pensioners Jack and Victor.

Television presenter and TalkRadio host Matthew Wright was in the crowd at the arena and witnessed the fight.

He said: "It's quite a rambunctious affair going to see Still Game Live and the security were very diligent.

"During a scene there was some dialogue between the characters and someone who appeared to be climbing on the stage and he was dragged away by security.

"And then it all kicked off down the front."

Wright's co-host, TV critic Kevin O'Sullivan, who was also at the show, added: "There was a real life fight, we got some serious action just in front of us.

"A massive punch-up and people carted out. I don't want to cast aspersions but it seemed very Glasgow to me."

Gavin Mitchell, who plays Boaby the barman in the show, also said he spotted the fight from the stage.

He told TalkRadio: "Yes, there was the attack.

"The shows were quite calm this time compared to the last time we played the Hydro when we had police and ambulances on the very first day.

"This time it was calm until the last two nights when we had arrests and I don't know how many people were thrown out.

"That's the way we do theatre in Scotland ladies and gentlemen."

Sunday night's performance saw the cast close the curtain for the last time on their run of 15 shows at the SSE Hydro.

The final television series of Still Game was aired on the BBC earlier this year.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We can confirm that officers were called to two incidents at the SSE Hydro this weekend.

"A 21-year-old man was arrested and charged in relation to drug offences. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

"Officers also attended following reports of an assault and enquiries into this incident are ongoing."
