COPS have locked down a Gorbals street after two people were taken to hospital following a serious assault.
The force cordoned off Pine Place this morning after the incident at 5.40 am.
A teenager, 18, was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary with an injury to her eye while a man, 48, received treatment at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. He also had an injury to his eye.
Police closed off the street while they investigated the assault. A cop car remained on Old Rutherglen Road before noon.

A force spokeswoman said: "We received a report of a serious assault on Pine Place, Glasgow, around 5.40 am on Thursday, October 17.
"An 18-year-old woman was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary with an injury to her eye. A 48-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with an injury to his eye. Both were released after treatment.
"We are following a positive line of inquiry."
