Police have released an image of a man they are hoping to trace in connection with a city centre assault that left a man requiring hospital treatment.

Officers are keen to trace the man pictured in relation to the attack on Argyle Street in June.

It comes as police uncovered CCTV footage of the man they wish to speak to at the door of a fast food restaurant ahortly after the incident.

The victim, also male, was rushed to hospital following the assault, which officers believe took place at around 8:20pm on Monday, June 17.

Detective constable Vicky Shanley of Stewart Street CID said: “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident, or who recognises this man, to contact us if they can assist with our ongoing investigation.”
