An attempt to close down M&D's Theme Park following a horror rollercoaster crash has been rejected by councillors.
Police Scotland had attempted to have the North Lanarkshire site closed down after the incident, which left nine people injured back in June 2016.
M&D's had to pay out a £65,000 fine after five gondolas from the Tsunami ride derailed and fell to the ground.
The theme park, near motherwell, was closed for four days while investigations were carried out.

M&D's pleaded guilty to a health and safety breach at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
But councillors yesterday unanimously backed the Strathclyde Park theme park, rejecting a bid to deny a public entertainment licence - as the Daily Record reports.
Around 450 people are employed by the company, who welcomed the decision from the council's Regulatory Committee.
Company lawyer Lamont Baillie said: “We’re talking one incident in 50 years that wasn’t even the company’s fault, so M&Ds is a safe resort.”
