A GLASGOW casino is set to undergo a multi-million pound revamp incorporating a Chinese theme.
Genting has announced that work has begun on a £1.6m refurbishment of their Glasgow site.
There will be a complete overhaul of the casino’s gaming facilities, with an additional, smaller gaming room added to the facility.
The extra space will see the casino add further machines, while the Hou Mei Chinese restaurant on site also set to get a facelift.
The three Karaoke rooms will be updated while the casino will also see the addition of a new, City Centre Meeting Room.
Work on the casino is currently underway and the casino will continue to operate as normal during the refurbishment.
The work is scheduled to be complete at the end of November, with relaunch events planned at Chinese New Year in January.
Iain Gardiner, general manager at casino, said: “We have an extremely strong relationship with the Chinese community in the city and it’s great to acknowledge those links.”
