A council has launched an investigation after cigarette bins with the logos of Celtic and Rangers appeared on a busy street.
The image of two glass jars with Celtic and Rangers logos and the caption 'Pick a team. Stub it Out.' were posted on social media - sparking uproar among users.
The picture was shared by Twitter user Fiona Kirkwood, who first spotted the unusual bins on Princes Street in Edinburgh.
She tagged the city council, asking: "Just wondering why this on Princes St?
"No relevance to Edinburgh given we have our own football teams here."
Hi Fiona, thanks for flagging this. It isn't ours and we're investigating.

The council has since launched a probe into the items, confirming it does not belong to them.
They tweeted: "Hi Fiona, thanks for flagging this. It isn't ours and we're investigating."
But that did not stop the public from expressing their anger at the image.
One social media user wrote: "Its a shocker - let us know who did put it up?"
Another said: "Thank you for sharing Fiona. Pathetic not using our own teams."
And a third wrote: "Get that tae f**k immediately."
