A man has been left seriously injured in hospital after a 'targeted' attack in Lanarkshire.
Emergency services were called to a property in the Greenbank Terrace area of Carluke at around 6.30pm yesterday evening.
A 26-year-old man suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries during the incident.
He was taken to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment.
Police are appealing for information.

Detective Constable Lindsey McIntyre of Lanarkshire CID said: "We are carrying out inquiries to establish the full circumstances of this assault which we believe to have been targeted.
"We are interested in speaking to anyone who was in the area around 6.30pm on Sunday, particularly if they saw any suspicious individuals or vehicles."
Anyone with information is urged to contact police via 101, quoting incident number 3236 of November 10.
Alternatively, they are urged to call Crimestoppers anonymously via 0800 555 111.
