A joint Police Scotland and Home Office operation swooped on a Clydebank Shopping Centre business this afternoon.

Officers carried out enquiries at the Rose Nails bar within the shopping centre at around 2pm.

Radio Clyde News reports that the raid was stood down around 30 minutes later.

They added: "Police questioned workers before allowing them back to the stall."

A spokesman for the force told the Evening Times: "Police are conducting a joint operation in the Clydebank area on Thursday, 14 November with partners including the Home Office.

"Inquiries remain ongoing."

A Home Office spokesman confirmed they accompanied Police Scotland officers to determine if there was anyone of interest.

However, he added that no-one was found to be of interest to their officers at the shopping centre.

The Evening Times has contacted the Clyde Shopping Centre for comment.
