GLASGOW Indian restaurant Charcoals is up for a top prize at the British Curry Awards.
The popular eatery has been shortlisted alongside five others for Best Restaurant Scotland at the ceremony.
Previous attendees at the event, hosted in London on November 25, include former prime ministers and celebrity chefs.
The award-winning Charcoals Indian Restaurant, found on Renfield Street, made headlines earlier this month too.
Muhammad Sultan, who runs it, announced they would be giving out free food to the city’s homeless on Christmas – along with gifts such as sleeping bags and gloves.
British Curry Awards founder Enam Ali said: “I am so very grateful to local curry restaurant diners who, every year, take the effort to nominate their favourite restaurants for the British Curry Awards, and who provide us with their vital feedback.”
