TRNSMT has secured some of the biggest names in music including the Courteeners, Liam Gallagher and Lewis Capaldi to play the Glasgow Green festival this summer.
The acts will headline the three-day event with Manchester indie rockers Courteeners closing the first day of the festival on Friday, July 10.
They will be joined by Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown, singer Sam Fender as well as popular acts Blossoms, Aitch and Little Simz.
Rock n’ Roll man Liam Gallagher will return to headline his second TRNSMT festival on Saturday, July 11 with Foals, Keane and Twin Atlantic all warming up the stage beforehand.
While Scotland’s sweetheart Lewis Capaldi will finally close TRNSMT on Sunday, July 12 - four years after making his debut on the festival’s King Tuts stage.
He will be joined by Snow Patrol, who had to pull out of last year’s event, and singer Rita Ora.
The event is expected to attract around 50,000 music fans to Glasgow city centre who will take in performances across a variety of stages in the park.
Headliner Liam Gallagher said: “I love Scotland and it’s an honour to be going back to headline TRNSMT Festival. PS Have I told you lately that I Love You?”
Lewis Capaldi, who made headlines last year after wearing a Chewbacca mask on-stage because Noel Gallagher said he looked like the Star Wars character, added: “I've been lucky enough to play TRNSMT every year since its inception and to be a headliner is absolutely wild. Things are about to get chubby and sexy, fast. See you up the road next year!”
Geoff Ellis
Festival Director Geoff Ellis promised even more names to be announced in the line-up in the new year and gave a special mention to Lewis Capaldi who has become a worldwide superstar since his festival debut in 2017.
He said: "Lewis Capaldi is the biggest star on the planet at the moment so it was really important for us to get him. It's his fourth appearance at TRNSMT and he has played every year.
"The first year no one knew who he was when we put him on the King Tut's stage. We knew he had a big future ahead of him and now he's headlining Scotland's biggest festival."
Tickets go on sale Friday at 9 am.
