Major disruptions are being caused to Glasgow train lines after a train broke down near Bellshill station.
Scotrail services from Glasgow Central to both Lanark and Edinburgh Waverly via Shotts experienced cancellations of train services and delays of over an hour.
An assisting train was sent to Bellshill to move the train and ticket acceptance was put in place with JMB buses for the time being.
Passengers are advised to take the bus number 41 running between Lanark and Motherwell if travelling on the relation.
