Siddington news by Alison Wagstaff
THE regular flooding of Park Way on the top bend has been identified by Highways as being due to the state of the surrounding ditches.
Richard Gray (Local Highways manager for Cotswold South) has written to the riparian owners with regard to clearing the ditches on either side of the road and is awaiting a response.
CHAIRMAN of the Parish Council, John Hayward, reported at the recent meeting that the handrail for the steps down to the canal path from Upper Siddington Bridge had been stolen and burned.
As he had previously installed this handrail he volunteered to replace it.
It was also noted that the steps down to the canal path are in a poor state.
A letter will be written to the landowners, the Bathurst Estate, and a copy sent to Gloucestershire Public Rights of Way.
