Clydebank's Turner Syndrome Support Society gets donation

The Turner Syndrome Support Society (TSSS), located within Clydebank Business Park, recently received £800 from Arnold Clark.

The volunteer-run charity provides assistance to women with TS, a genetic disorder that only affects females.

Arnold Clark employees raised £2400 for three organisations, including the TSSS, in and around Glasgow.

East Park School in Maryhill and Chris’s House in Wishaw also received £800 each.

The car retailer made the donations as part of its Change for Charity Initiative which is an optional scheme allowing staff to donate change from their paychecks to a nominated charity.

Lynne McBurney, group people director at Arnold Clark, said: “Our employees are at the heart of everything we do and it’s great to help support them to give back to their local community.

“Choosing local charities that our employees have suggested we support via the Change for Charity initiative has not only allowed us to donate to smaller organisations but, alongside our Community Fund, has helped us to build fantastic relationships with them going forward too.”

East Park School provides education and supported accommodation services to children and young people with additional support needs. It was first established in 1874.

Chris’s House is a centre of help, response, and intervention surrounding suicide.
