Fish and Chips à la Rick Stein might be about to hit the streets of Falmouth but the chef will be cooking up a treat for the people of Truro first.

The award winning chef will be Truro Cathedral on Monday, April 26 at 7.30pm creating a four-course dinner, on behalf of the Cathedral’s Inspire Cornwall fundraising appeal which includes the current restoration of the central tower and spire.

Mr Stein said: “The central tower and spire of Truro Cathedral is such an iconic landmark in Cornwall and its important to help preserve and maintain it, so I am delighted to be working with Truro Cathedral in raising much needed money for their Inspire project.”

The dinner will take place in the Cathedral Restaurant in the Chapter House some of the TV chef’s most famous signature dishes on offer.

The Dean of Truro, The Very Rev’d Dr Christopher Hardwick said: “We are delighted to welcome Rick Stein to Truro Cathedral for what will be an amazing evening to support the Cathedral Inspire Cornwall Appeal. Rick Stein is recognised internationally for the very highest quality of cuisine and I know that the sponsored dinner in the Cathedral Restaurant will be a very special and memorable occasion, and certainly one not to be missed.”
