A new restaurant is set to move into the former Cote Brasserie on West Nile Street.

Rosa's Thai, a popular restaurant chain that started in London, will open its first-ever Scottish location in Glasgow.

Signage on the unit read: "Thai flavours, Thai cooking, Thai vibes, coming soon!"

The soon-to-be-Rosa's Glasgow will be opening in September of this year, although the exact date has not yet been confirmed.

The restaurant started off as a street stall on Brick Lane's Sunday market in London run by husband-and-wife team Saiphin and Alex.

Glasgow Times:

It has since grown into a hugely popular chain with locations across London and the north of England.

The dishes are described as "honest Thai food with a whole lot of spice and enough soul to fill the Mekong River."

Chef Saiphin said: “Nothing makes me happier than making people smile with my cooking. I have always loved food and my vision for Rosa’s was always to share this passion.

"Every dish on the menu is created by me, based on my family recipes or inspirations from places where I have lived in.

"Each dish carries fond memories for me, and sharing that with my customers is what Rosa’s Thai is all about."
