Storm Agnes has begun sweeping across Glasgow today as high winds and rain struck the city.

With gusts of up to 80mph in some places, the storm is set to affect western regions of the UK and Ireland, with some power cuts in Scotland warned.

A yellow weather warning for rain has been issued to last from 9pm today in Scotland until 6am tomorrow.

Our photographer Gordon Terris captured the scenes in the city centre earlier.
