A former Glasgow bank could be transformed into a "dessert and burger bar".

A planning application was submitted by Chillicious to take over the vacant Bank of Scotland building on Albert Drive.

The eatery sells milkshakes, ice creams, smoothies and burgers.

Papers reveal that the B-listed building has been empty "for some considerable time".

The plan also includes a "retail element" to the restaurant, which would "allow for patrons/customers to purchase much of the cold/raw foodstuffs which are used in the menu items on offer".

Entry would be from Albert Drive with the seating on the right side of the ground floor.

The first-floor proposal includes toilets and storage.

The application is being considered by Glasgow City Council planning bosses and a decision is expected by Friday, June 14.

The last day for comments is Wednesday, May 22.
