Former Celtic youngster Theo Archibald has come under fire online for a series of vile messages he apparently sent to his girlfriend.

The messages, posted on Twitter by his upset other half Jennifer Lewis, 18, boasted of the numerous affairs he had while the two were in a relationship.

Jennifer tweeted screenshots of their alleged conversations with the caption: "Found out my boyfriend of 2 and a half years had been cheating on me for 8 months footballers eh."

Sent through Snapchat, Archibald, now at English Championship team Brentford, shamelessly describes the sexual encounters and insults his girlfriend for staying with him during this time.

In one, he seemingly mocks autism, saying: “U asked who she was, I said she was autistic haha.”

Throughout the messages, Archibald gloats about the various girls he slept with, including one in the Czech Republic, where he was on international duty with Scotland.

Glasgow Times:

He said “She was the person who showed us about etc. But obvs took a liking to ya boy so found me and messaged me on FB.”

The 19-year-old then goes on to describe his encounters while at his new club Brentford, making mention of a “London ting” he slept with before his girlfriend phoned him later that evening.

Jennifer has received an outpouring of support on Twitter, with many users slamming Archibald’s behaviour. His Wikipedia page was even updated for a short while to include these allegations.

The Scotland under 19 starlet has now made his Twitter profile private.

Archibald left Celtic in May to join Brentford on a three year deal, and has made two appearance for the club, who have said that they have launched an internal investigation into the matter.
