CELTIC could rekindle their interest in Norwegian superkid Martin Odegaard after Real Madrid gave him the green light to go out on loan next season.

The Spanish giants won the race for the 16-year old's signature last summer, beating off a host of top European clubs.

But new Bernabeu boss Rafael Benitez has agreed to let the teenager get vital game time at another club.

Parkhead boss Ronny Deila was among those hoping to woo his fellow countryman.

Now Deila could be a persuasive voice in offering Odegaard first team and possibly Champions League football.

Madrid, though, would prefer to farm the youngster out of another Spanish club.

Meanwhile, Veton Berisha today admitted he is flattered to be linked with a move to the SPFL Premiership champions.

Deilahas reportedly targeted the 21-year-old Viking Stavanger hitman.

His contract is due to expire and the highly-rated youngster - who has netted seven goals in 11 games so far this season - will carefully consider his next step.

He said: "I don't know anything about the Celtic interest, but it is of course very flattering.

"If the right offer comes along from an overseas club then I would consider it, but it all depends on which club is making the offer."
