Saidy Janko has warned that Hoops midfielder Nir Bitton has already warned Celtic that Hapoel Be’er Sheva will make life tough for the Parkhead side.

Celtic will host the Israeli side on either the August 16 or 17 and Bitton has already been tapped for info on his fellow countrymen.

“I think it is going to be a tough game,” said Janko. “I heard from Nir they were a good side. All the boys were asking Nir for information about them. Hopefully, it can help us that we have Nir, who knows a bit about them. Now we have to focus on our game plan.”

Hapoel Be’er Sheva put Olympiakos out of the competition in the previous round and while little is known about them, Janko is wary of underestimating them.

“There are loads of teams in the Champions League qualifiers we have not heard much about. But, there are plenty of them who are quite good so it will be difficult. I think as long as we play the way we want to play then we should be alright. It shouldn't really matter where we play first. “
